NEIGHBORHOOD MAINTENANCE

Mail Boxes

Property values and general appeal are enhanced by a neighborhood that possesses a uniform and well maintained look. To that end, the developer has provided a quality mail box post and support assembly that is to be used on all lots in the Bent Oaks subdivision. Also, a uniform color has been chosen for the mail box, as well as the post and supporting structure.

Paint for the post and box is available from local home improvement or hardware stores, in can or spray-can format. The proper paint is Rust-Oleum gloss enamel, in Dark Hunter Green, color #7733.

Mail boxes and posts that are looking dull should be repainted in order to maintain a quality appearance.

Note that US Post Office guide lines stipulate that the front door of the mail box should be aligned directly above the curb / grass interface and should be approximately 41 inches above street level. And, of course, the post should be maintained as vertical as possible for a pleasing and well-maintained appearance.
